What is Tilana Reserve™?
Tilana Reserve™ is a software utility and off-site data storage service that provides transparent file protection and synchronization to business and home PC users. Protected files are encrypted during transmission to and from secure storage space at the Tilana data center, and can be sync'ed between multiple computers using the same account.

How does Tilana Reserve™ work?
Tilana Reserve™ constantly monitors protected files and folders to detect any saved changes or new files as they appear. New files and changes to existing ones are
protected quietly and automatically, without interrupting work flow.

Do I need to install anything to use Tilana Reserve™?
Yes. The Tilana Reserve™ software client (a free download) takes less than one minute to install. Set-up is quick and easy.

Is Tilana Reserve™ secure?
Yes. We consider any and all of the data entrusted to us as mission-critical. Tilana Reserve always transmits and stores your files and data securely. In fact, your files and data are stored so securely that it's really only accessible by you as the owner of your unique encryption key.

Will Tilana Reserve™ work with music, pictures, and video?
Yes. Tilana Reserve™ will protect and synchronize literally anything that you either create or collect on your PC. Download music, pictures, video, anything you want. Tilana Reserve™ will automatically save those new files to your off-site storage account, where they'll always be available as long as your account is in good standing.

Will Tilana Reserve™ slow my PC down?
No. Tilana Reserve™ operates in the background, with no noticeable impact on the performance or bandwidth. This is made possible by our delta versioning technology, which only transfers changes to files and operates in the background according to performance configuration settings that you control.

Will Tilana Reserve™ work with a dial-up internet connection?
Yes. Once your connection has been established, Tilana Reserve™ uses that connection to transfer files. Priority performance controls allow you to optimize Tilana Reserve™ for use in the dial-up environment.

Will Tilana Reserve™ work on a Mac?
Unless you're just using a Web browser running on a Mac to manually download and upload files to and from your personal remote storage space, no (A version of Tilana Reserve for Mac OS X is currently in testing).
Version history storage is however accessible via any browser running on a Mac. So any prior version of a file stored in the remote storage can be accessed through your Mac browser (even Safari). And likewise when uploading from a Mac, any changes saved to a file on a Mac are written as a new version in stored history when the file is manually uploaded back to where it was accessed in remote storage. The new version becomes the latest saved, with the most recent version saved along with it in history.
Automated CDP and sync features are only available through the use of the of Tilana Reserve™ desktop software, which currently can only be installed on Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Windows 2000.

What happens if I lose my data to a hard drive crash?
Once you've bought a new computer, or as soon as your old computer hard drive has been fixed or replaced, simply download and install your Tilana Reserve software and log into your account. Free and friendly customer service is available to assist you (only you) in securely gaining access to your storage account at our data center. All of your protected files will always be available, as long as your account is in good standing.

What's CDP? And what's the difference between Tilana Reserve™ and sequentially scheduled backup?
Because Tilana Reserve™ is a CDP (Continuous Data Protection) solution, multiple versions of protected files are automatically written to your remote storage, not just the latest saved. Your files and data are protected all the time, not just on a scheduled interval with no protection in between... You always have access to any previously saved versions of your files.

Some of my files are huge.
Is there a size limit for files to upload and protect?
Tilana Reserve can upload any file up to 2GB in size. Continuous protection from that point forward, in the form of file changes as they're saved, will be much smaller.
