Tilana Reserve™ Change Log
Version 1.0.728.1, on May 14, 2008
Bug Fixes:
-
1. The following error message infrequently appeared when attempting to apply a synchronized rename of a directory:
"Error: The system cannot find the path specified."
Directories renamed in spaces set to synchronize will now be automatically renamed on other computers as expected.
2. Deleting a whole file, or a version from history, at times produced the following error message:
"Delete File Server Error storage error: account private key not unlocked."
Files and file versions can now be consistently deleted from the data center as expected without producing this error message.
Version 1.0.684.1, on November 20, 2007
Improvements:
A new Thumbnails button is now available in the files pane for both the "Computer" and "Data Center" tab views. A toggle which by default is in the off position, when clicked it loads a thumbnail view of any graphics files that make a thumbnail available (.jpg, .gif, .png).
Like the Put and Get buttons, the Thumbnails button is blue for the "Computer" tab view, and green for the "Data Center" tab view. A green Thumbnails button is also now available in the version history pane for the "Data Center" tab view, next to the Put and Delete buttons there.
In the browser based Tilana Reserve Web Access, a new Show Thumbnails hyperlink at the top of the display toggles thumbnails on and off. Also Tilana Reserve Web Access is now available at https://web.tilana.com so we recommend that you update any favorites set to the login ("sign in") screen.
Bug Fix:
A bug has been fixed which formerly produced a permissions error for files needing to be modified and saved, after being retrieved or synced using Vista installations of Tilana Reserve.
Version 1.0.638.1, on September 27, 2007
Improvements:
Added alternate port warning screen to New User Wizard which displays information about its attempts to establish a connection to the data center.
The New User Wizard will first try to establish a connection between your computer and the data center using its primary port setting 3321, then one of two possible alternates: 443 and 80, in that order.
When a connecton with the data center has been established using one of the two alternate ports the New User Wizard displays which port setting is being used for the connection, recommending that you confirm with your Network Administrator if operating Tilana Reserve with that port setting will be permitted.
Version 1.0.633.1, on September 24, 2007
Improvements:
Added new "Cleanup Wizard" for mass deletion of versions from remotely stored file histories.
To help you to quickly discard any unwanted versions of your files stored in the data center, the Cleanup Wizard provides you with a method of identifying files to clean up, specifying versions to discard and keep, and reviewing everything before performing actual deletions.
The process will not delete any whole files, only any unwanted versions of them according to the settings you control.
Version 1.0.627.2, on September 12, 2007
Improvements and fixes, including:
Added new "Low Space" and "Insufficient Space" warnings.
Quota display in manage account dialog, and links to the website to purchase additional space.
Path elements "." and ".." are now rejected when entering paths.
The New User Wizard has been modified to enable it for creating paid accounts.
Fixed bug in the Invalid Authorization notification dialog.
Fixed a bug which caused a crash when the "path" registry entry was missing for directory settings.
Fixed a bug that prevented proper inheritance of directory settings when clearing the settings for a directory.
Fixed a bug which was causing a crash when clearing directory settings for "C:\"
Fixed a bug that allowed double slashes in user entered paths and a related hang on the server side.
Version 1.0.596.1, on May 15, 2007
Improvements and fixes, including:
New "Get Archived Files" Checkbox in Get Folder Dialog
When retrieving files en masse by getting a whole folder from the data center, the "Get Archived Files" checkbox allows you to also get the latest state of any archived files (only stored in the data center, deleted from all computers on account) in addition to files that are backed up from a computer on account. This checkbox is checked by default when retrieving a whole file that has been archived.
Modified Queue Operation
Order of operations in the queue now puts priority on automatic entries over scanned entries, so that newer files and changes to them are transferred before older files. This makes Tilana Reserve more immediately useful upon initial installation.
Sync operations optimized and improved.
Fixed incompatibilities with Kaspersky Anti-Virus.
Fixed bug that caused abort to keep retrying and block other queue operations to wait.
Fixed bug in recent activity tab that caused entries to be out of order.
Version 1.0.566.1, on April 25, 2007
Improvements and fixes, including:
New Synchronization Wizard allows you to quickly and easily create synchronization tasks with names, and designate folders on different machines to use them for syncing their contents automatically.
Tilana Reserve now installs on Windows 2000 (Service Pack 4), in addition to XP and Vista.
Some folders and files used by software tools are hidden from view. Now Tilana Reserve allows you to see these folders and files, and to configure them for protection and sync like any other. When viewing items in the tab for 'This Computer' (Local View) hidden folders and files are grayed out.
A bug has been fixed which caused files to be protected but not synced, after they'd been moved from an area not configured to be protected or synced, to an area configured to do both protection and syncing. Now files are properly handled for both protection and sync after they are moved to a folder that has been set up for both.
Tilana Reserve no longer hangs until reaching your system's connection timeout. In the unfortunate event of complications when connecting with the data center, Tilana Reserve remains active and able to follow your command to 'Repair Connection.'
A new Invalid Authentication notification dialog has been added, for when a new computer installed with Tilana Reserve has not yet been activated to use the account.
Version 1.0.521.1, on March 22, 2007
Improvements and fixes, including:

Includes Settings Wizard Scan, System Scan, File Class Settings Scan, and Folder Settings Scan.
New control of prompts in Preferences dialog makes it possible to suppress or re-enable prompts for a number of events like uploading files, etc.
New ability to handle empty file extensions in file class settings dialog lets the user provide system-wide protection and sync settings for files with no extensions.
